Simon HANTAÏ (1922-2008)

French painter of Hungarian origin, Simon Hantaï is a key player in abstraction.
His multifaceted work is distinguished by the use of “folding as a method”.
After representing France at the Venice Biennale in 1982, he retired from public life and lived as a recluse until his death in 2008.
