The Galerie de la Présidence lends an oil on canvas by Ker-Xavier Roussel to the exhibition « Ker-Xavier Roussel, Private Garden, Dreamed Garden ».
This exhibition will present around one hundred works by the painter Ker-Xavier Roussel, ranging from his Nabis experiments to his huge, powerful mythological narrative works.
It will showcase the artist’s decorative power, as well as prints evoking the melancholy of turn-of-the-century Symbolism.

At the beginning of the 20th century, together with Paul Signac, Henri-Edmond Cross was regarded as one of the fathers of modern art. The exhibition will emphasise his role in the history of the liberation of colour and his impact on 20th century avant-garde artistic movements.

Musée Matisse Le Cateau-Cambrésis

An exhibition of the donation made by Marcel Gromaire to the museum in1955, and the donation made by his son in 1993 to the city of Cateau-Cambrésis.
This exhibition will also present works from the Musée du dessin et de l’estampe originale de Gravelines, the Galerie de la Présidence and private collectors.

Van Dongen lived at the Bateau-Lavoir by the end of 1905 and met Otto van Rees, Maurice Vlaminck, André Derain, Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. This exhibition shows how his stay at the Bateau-Lavoir influenced the evolution of his work.
